AD Ports Group, a prominent player in the maritime industry, has embarked on a series of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) that span various collaborative efforts. These endeavors encompass infrastructure development, technology transfer, sustainable port development, maritime education, and tourism. Through these agreements, AD Ports Group aims to strengthen its size, strategic presence, and industry leadership.

One significant MoU entails discussions on direct and indirect investments, joint ventures, and the establishment of a Port City in Gujarat. The overarching goal, according to AD Ports, is to tap into mutual potential for port expansion, multimodal logistics parks, economic and free trade zones, rail connectivity projects, and associated infrastructure services.

The essence of this collaboration is to foster an innovative approach to integrated logistics solutions. By harnessing collective strengths in technology, sustainability, and strategic planning, the focus lies on delivering projects that are economically viable, environmentally sustainable, and technologically advanced.

A pivotal moment arose with the announcement at the 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit regarding the proposed India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). In response, AD Ports Group and RITES Limited have expressed intentions to explore cooperation possibilities to achieve the objectives of this initiative.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, expressed optimism about the collaboration with distinguished Indian entities. He emphasized the potential to significantly advance the objectives of both nations, building upon their strong relationship.

Al Shamisi stated, “With guidance from our wise leaders, we aim to further our ambitious economic objectives, which will profoundly impact global commerce while invigorating ancillary sectors.”

In a recent development, AD Ports Group inked a shareholder agreement between its digital arm, Maqta Gateway, and Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) for the establishment of a joint venture called Maqta Ayla. This venture aims to establish a port community system (PCS) at the Port of Aqaba, marking another milestone in AD Ports Group’s expansion strategy.
