The most loaded ship has arrived at Bhavnagar port, which is considered perennial in the whole of Gujarat, and now unloading operations are going on.
1600 km of Gujarat. Among the 14 longshore ports (10 owned by GMB, and 4 private ports), 44 captive and private jetties, Bhavnagar Port has been renowned for significant cargo handling over the years. A vessel named MV Tian Sheng-27 loaded with 72,260 MT Limestone from Mina Saqr Port, United Arab Emirates has arrived at Bhavnagar Port and is currently undergoing cargo discharge. The ship with the highest cargo load so far has arrived from Mina Sakar port loaded with lime stone.

According to Bhavnagar Port Officer Captain Rakesh Mishra, 49 ships loaded with coal and lime stone have arrived at Bhavnagar port so far this year, and 24,93,978 MT of cargo has arrived. Cargo is being handled continuously and consistently at Bhavnagar port.
Bhavnagar port was declared inactive in the year 2008, the port has been sitting like a phoenix bird from where the import of coal cargoes has started and now an average of 30 lakh MT of cargo is coming in every year, and the Gujarat Maritime Board is getting significant revenue from it.
