Tidewater Inc., a marine services provider specializing in support vessels for the offshore wind industry, has successfully finalized its acquisition of 37 platform supply vessels and associated assets from Solstad Offshore ASA, a Norwegian company engaged in offshore service and supply shipping.

With this acquisition, Tidewater now possesses the largest fleet of high-specification platform supply vessels in the world, solidifying its leadership position in the industry. Quintin Kneen, President and CEO of Tidewater, expressed his satisfaction with the deal, emphasizing the significant enhancement these vessels bring to their existing fleet of platform supply vessels. The company’s strategic focus remains centered on consolidating the finest OSV fleets worldwide, ultimately aiming to create an unrivaled fleet that excels in safety, sustainability, reliability, and profitability for high-specification OSV services.

By expanding its fleet and embracing advanced vessel technologies, Tidewater aims to cater to the evolving needs of the offshore wind industry, contributing to its growth and development. With their augmented resources, the company is well-positioned to deliver exceptional services and maintain its commitment to excellence in the offshore energy sector.
