India’s largest ro-pax ferry ship launched on the Ghogha-Hajira waterway

The convenience for passengers has increased since the opening of the waterway option compared to road and rail between the whole of Saurashtra and South Gujarat. The operator of the Ghogha (Bhavnagar)-Hajira (Surat) Ro-Pax ferry service has introduced a new vessel which will cover a distance of 61 nautical miles in just 3 hours. Two ships per day will be operated, so that the facilities will increase.
Voyage Symphony is operated by Indigo Seaways between Ghogha-Hajira, the service is currently closed due to repairs. But the ferry operator has introduced a new ship called Voyage Express, which being a high speed ship will reach Hazira from Ghogha in just 3 hours.
The new ship Voyage Express initiated her regular voyage from Wednesday. And after all kinds of testing is done, this ship made available for passenger service. Now with the availability of two ships Voyage Express and Voyage Symphony for Ghogha-Hajira-Ghogha, two trips per day will be made and due to this the water transport capacity will be increased. The facility of carrying passengers and vehicles on board is going to increase.

What are the facilities on Voyage Express ship?
Voyage Express ship is 134 meters long, 21 meters wide, with a speed of 17 knots. Hazira can be reached from Ghogha in 3 hours.
{ Passenger capacity is 650, comprising of 22 Club Class, 115 Business Class, 180 Executive Class, 11 Cabins (44 passenger capacity), 80 Sleeper Class. { The ship includes a spacious cafeteria, restaurant, open cafeteria, gaming zone, selfie point.
The ship has a capacity of 75 trucks, 70 cars, 50 bikes.
