Mr. Rohith Agarwal, a renowned consultant in the ship recycling industry and a leading advocate for the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships (HKC), has been awarded the prestigious Excellence in ESG Consultation Award at the 12th Global Safety Summit. The event, organized by the Fire and Safety Forum in collaboration with the United Nations Global Compact Network India and Amity University, took place in New Delhi.

One of Mr. Agarwal’s notable achievements in 2024 is his successful consultation for clients such as Bansal Ship Breakers Private Limited and Rudra Green Ship Recycling Private Limited in attaining the prestigious ISO 50001:2018 (Energy Management Systems) and ISO 55001:2014 (Asset Management Systems) certifications. These certifications, awarded by LRQA and IR Class respectively, mark a groundbreaking development in the ship recycling industry. The inclusion of these ISO standards emphasizes the importance of energy efficiency, sustainability, and systematic asset management—critical factors for the sector’s long-term growth and alignment with global sustainability goals.
Mr. Agarwal’s impact extends beyond ship recycling. He has also played a crucial role in helping Rudra Global Infra Products Limited and Sai Infinium Limited achieve GreenPro Ecolabelling for their Steel TMT Rebars. This certification, granted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), underscores their steel products’ sustainability and environmental responsibility.
