APM Terminals Pipavav, a port operating company, has achieved a significant milestone by completing more than 200 movements of cargo per hour on a single ship. This accomplishment is a first in the history of the port’s operations. On August 17, 2023, the port successfully carried out 880 cargo movements on the vessel named MOL Endowment, achieving a rate of 215.51 movements per hour. This achievement also involved 52.59 movements of cranes per hour and saved 23 minutes of idle time for the vessel. Overall, these improvements saved 9.09 hours compared to the port’s usual performance. As a result, the time it takes for the ship to complete its operations at the port was improved by 69 percent compared to the previous visit. This achievement underscores the exceptional efficiency of APM Terminals Pipavav in managing vessel operations.
